Managing profiles and sync in Microsoft Edge on Windows 10
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Hello everyone. So I want to make a completely new start with Microsoft Edge like it's in a fresh Windows install without Microsoft Account logged in. Except I want to keep my Microsoft Account logged. The reason is my current configuration with all the unnecessary bookmarks and other things is too much convoluted for me. I just want to make a fresh start and rebuild from there.
I tried to delete my browsing history and restored Edge to default settings (except replaced Yandex with Bing as the default search engine. Honestly, I don't know why Yandex of all things is the default search engine when Bing is there) but it didn't give the result I wanted. As I stated above, I just want to restore Microsoft Edge to be like when you just reinstalled Windows and you're not logged into the Microsoft account yet.
PS: Problem solved. Great thanks to Robinson.

Hi, I'm Robinson, and I’m happy to help you today.
You can reset Microsoft Edge by renaming the "User Data" folder. This will erase all settings and data, and when you open Edge again, it will be like the first time.
Step 1: Close the Microsoft Edge
1-Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open the Task Manager
2-Search for the Edge in the list, right-click on that and click on "End task"
Step 2: Rename the "User Data" folder
1-Right-click on Start then click on Run
2-Type: %localappdata%\Microsoft\Edge and click on Ok
3-Right-click on the "User Data" folder and click on rename
4-Enter a new name for the folder like "User DataOld" or "User Data0" and press enter to save the change
5-Relaunch the Microsoft Edge and check if the problem was fixed
I hope this information helps. If you have any questions, please let me know and I'll be glad to assist you further.
Thank you for the information. I follow the following steps, but still have the issue.
When I relaunched Microsoft Edge it opened to "Welcome to Microsoft Edge". I go through the pages detailing the new features. When I click on "Start browsing", the
"Error code Out of Memory" is displayed. Is anyone else having this issue after following the about steps?
