Hi. I'm Brian and I will do my best to help you.

Microsoft does not force anyone to use Yahoo. The default search engine in Edge is Bing. If you find Yahoo intercepting search requests, it's either because Yahoo is chosen as the search engine in Settings and more>Settings>Privacy, search & services>Address bar and search or because you have a browser hijacker. Look for any extensions you don't recognize.

Note that we're not Microsoft here. We're users just like yourself, trying to help our fellow users. Microsoft is not "my company."

What extensions to you contend Microsoft installed without your permission?

You have the very common "Yahoo Search" browser hijacker. I can easily give you links for how to correct it, but just search for "Yahoo search browser hijack" and you'll find many people offering the steps to remove it. For example, see this one: https://www.businessinsider.com/guides/tech/why...
