Opening and reading PDF files in Microsoft Edge on Windows 11

Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Good morning,
My team is having an issue with Microsoft Edge editing and saving PDF files. I believe this started with the last update, because we were working perfectly fine with our documents until it was updated.
We currently work with prepared PDF files, ready to be filled out since they were already modified in Adobe Acrobat PDF. We used to be able to open our PDF files in Microsoft Edge to fill them out, edit them and save them. Now, Microsoft edge is saving and merging old information in our PDF files.
If we open one of the empty PDF documents (for example: the PDF named "Booking 1") edit it, save it as "Test 1" and close the file, once I reopen my PDF document "Booking 1", the information of "Test 1" would still show there. If I try to use the other method of print> Save as, now the document would show empty. It also doesn't let you erase the prior information. If you open the same "Booking 1" document in another platform it would show empty, but only in Microsoft Edge it saves prior information.

I've been having the same issue and clearing cache/cookies/history does not work for me. Two workarounds I have found until this issue is fixed are:
Steps:
Windows Settings --> Apps --> Default Apps. Then click on the [Choose default apps by file type] link at the bottom. Scroll down to .pdf and change it to Google Chrome.
We have released version 114.0.1823.55, which addressed the PDF issue. To ensure you are on the latest version, kindly follow the steps provided below.
I have recorded the same issue. Open the form in Edge and previous data is populated which can't be cleared. Flush the cache, then try again - some data is removed. Open the form in Firefox, clear all data and save. Open again in Edge, and data is populated back in the form. Very annoying issue, especially how many use fillable PDF's with Edge set as the default. Please fix this or advise what update to rollback and block. I have done as asked by recording and uploading as requested by Paulo.
Thanks Gabriel, appreciate the suggestions. I will give the private window a try. Regarding Chrome, not a chance. I won't touch anything Google. It's almost scary to me how many use their stuff and are unaware of what goes on in the back end. Google just got busted again, but no one pays attention - latest news article:
"Google, in its almighty big tech way of harvesting more of your privacy, has a hidden feature inside its photos and maps tools that looks like a weather map when accessed. Instead, the only storms you see are exactly where you've been, when you were there and the photos you captured in that spot."

Hi Retina, I am Paulo and I'd like to help.
This is a known bug in Edge PDF in the latest update. I've read posts about this issue, but just to be certain, I tried to reproduce it and got the same results. In the few tests I've done, when I Save As, the original file retains the alteration I made; the saved version is unaltered. For now, there's no workaround but to set another PDF editor/viewer as your default.
You may report this by pressing Alt+Shift+I and it would help the developers if you can include a recorded video of it.
