For example, I have two accounts, so when I sync one account on edge does that mean all the data from that account is also transferred to my other account on edge?

I'm sorry, no. "When you’re signed in, Microsoft Edge syncs your favorites, passwords, history, extensions, settings, open tabs, autofill form entries (such as your name, address, and phone number), payment info, and other data types across the devices you use with this account."

I now have one account with two computers, a Surface Pro 4 with Windows 10 and a Surface Pro 9 with Windows 11. Both are used virtually always with a MiFi. This has been helpful setting up the newer device. OneDrive seems to always have sync on pause, because the computers are virtually always on a metered MiFi. The goal is to let a family member use the older device on a separate login without initially accessing all the current files and apps. Can this be done. Explanations as to what the advantages are of sync, OneDrive, etc., have not been much help.
