Edge mobile sometimes open sites in desktop view - Repeat

This is a repeat of a previous question, asked again because I haven't received any response since the first.

Edge mobile sometimes show sites in dektop view by default despite default view is set to mobile. This seems to happen most frequently when clicking on results from bing.com.

I cleared cookies, but still encounter the same problem: I search on bing (mobile view), the resulting page shows in desktop view.

Can't find any 'Site Settings' inside the main Settings menu.

Inside 'General' there's the 'Site view setting' that is set to mobile.

Settings -> Privacy and Security -> Site Settings -> Desktop Site

Then remove Bing from the exceptions list if it's there.

Well it's October 2023 now and I'm having this issue with bing and edge on my new phone. Tell the team to move faster.

    Hello HaoWuwhat,

Good to see you in Microsoft Community.

Firstly, could you let me know the specific version info of Edge for Android? Please take a screenshot/photo of it, and only send the relevant information without PII in the next reply.

You mentioned that this happens mostly when accessing Bing.com search results, so have you tried other search engines? Please check it and see if there is similar situation.

Or you may copy the website links that's in desktop view and open in another browser and see if the view is normal.

Meanwhile, you may reinstall the Microsoft Edge browser in the app store.

If anything is unclear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Best Regards,

Mosken_L - MSFT | Microsoft Community Support Specialist
