Hello ! I'm Aymeric, and I'm here to help !

Unfortunately, you cannot directly save a file in OneDrive using Edge, without downloading it.

If your OneDrive space is synchronized with your PC using the synchronization client, you can simply save the file to your OneDrive folder.

Then, if you want to keep it on your device (or not), go to your OneDrive folder in your Windows explorer, right-click on the file and choose the option that better fits you.

Feel free to ask if you have any other question !

    Thank you Aymeric.

I wonder if any other online storage systems allow what I am seeking.

I want to retain access to a newspaper I read online without needing to physically have it take up memory on my PC.

Also environmentally it seems better if numbers of people can access the same item.

I suppose that is what public libraries are for!
