Managing bookmarks, browsing history, and downloads in Edge on Windows 11
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Despite spending hours trimming, deleting, reorganizing and deleting duplicates of my bookmarks on the favorites bar, after about 15-30 minutes, it completely reverts back to previous. This has recurred multiple times at different computers. Anyone else experiencing this?
I have so many bookmarks accumulated from past Chrome imports. Any suggested solution?

I'm disappointed to tell you that after the full reset and subsequent reorganizing the favorites bar, everything has nearly returned back. All the duplicates removals and rearrangements have come back, although not exactly as before.
Very strange.
I am tempted to return back to Google.
Hi Don,
I'm Sumit, here to answer your query at the Microsoft Community.
Let us try to Reset sync and see if that helps.
Please back up the bookmarks first you want to keep in a file. You should remove all the items in the browser too.
Go to edge://sync-internals/
Please click Disable sync(clear server data) and restart your browser. This should remove the data from the server.
Afterwards, import the bookmarks and your issue should be resolved.
Hope that helps, and rely on us for any further inquiries. All the best.
Thank you.
They had removed the Reset sync button a few Builds ago but I wasn't aware it was back. I sincerely hope it works for you.
Good luck!
Sumit, thank you for your assistance.
I also noted under settings there was a button to reset sync.
I was not aware that the sync was the problem.
Let's hope it works.
