Greetings everyone:
I use the Edge/Chromium version of µBlock Origin, but I get a "few non-intrusive" ads.
I fail to get what is "non-intrusive" about whatever form of advertising (severe Asperger's and severe ADHD):
To me, it is like any advertisement, no matter how tiny, is a direct assault on my already low intellect.
And thus, I come here, with the question:
How can I completely remove these, please?
Since, no matter what companies tell us:
- This is a breach in privacy.- This is a breach in trespassing (yes, quite literally so).- I refuse to support companies, because they commit DOUBLE theft upon us:1) By increasingly demand more money ...2) ... for increasingly poor quality. And I am not allowed to support any form of crime, legal or not, as I would be an accomplice to these crimes on humanity.
Thus I am legally allowed to kill these "non-intrusive" advertisements. Dare I say: Legally forced to ... ?
Thank you aforehand:
Xog.

It's shocking how fast this is becoming an everyday occurrence. Just recently, I had a conversation about a piece of furniture I wanted someone to make (desk to accommodate a 50" TV, with work surface.
Found it on WayFair today.
I thought that was intrusive advertising. Thanks for clarifying.
Shout-out to Wayfair.

Hello, I’m Virginia, a fellow user like yourself.
Sorry to hear you’re experiencing problems.
I would recommend using Ghostery & AdGuard extensions to block more ads.
If uBlock has an allow unobtrusive ads then please disable this.
If the ads are asking for money that sounds more like scam pop ups rather than ads.
To ensure there’s nothing untoward happening with Edge:
You should backup your favourites then close Edge/browser, either by clicking on the X, by ctrl, alt del & then open task manager & find Edge/other browser entry & click on this & choose end task.
Then open Edge/other browser & it will offer to start afresh, you can then clean the browser’s cache, cookies & history.
If this isn’t enough you can reset Edge by Right-click on the Start button in the lower-left corner and select “Apps and Features “.
Scroll through the list until you find “Microsoft Edge”, click it, and then click on the “Advanced options” link.
Next, click on the “Reset” button.
