I enjoy using Edge Collections but am also distracted and annoyed but the constant auto-populate of images (Bing?) thumbnails that appear in this side pane under my actual collections under heading 'Start to collect' and want to find out how to get rid of them and prevent them from autopopulating again. Seems visual clutter like Pinterest... (!)

I have had a bit of a think about Start to Collect.

    1. The images seem to have some correlation to what is on my PC and web searches, which suggests to me that my activities are being tracked.
    2. I am wary about website images as they might contain malicious codes. I have no such control over the images that have appeared on StC.

I may be over-reacting but it is very worrying what is happening, and apparently I am forced to accept this as there is no option for the removal or rejection of this. Perhaps someone can allay my fears. 😒

I sent feedback about this issue using Microsoft Edge's built-in feedback platform. I also made a post on Microsoft's Feedback Portal.

I have finished saving my Collection URLs and have now deleted Collections in its entirety Collections was a good idea and I hope in the future MS relents and allows the option of having Collections without a lot of unnecessary and unasked-for images.

Can't agree more. I wish this "feature" was un-done and the theme of placing ads in the operating system is stops.
