How do I remove Edge from my Windows 10 computer?

Since the instructions I have received from 4 tech people on how to remove Edge haven't worked I think you are right. I consider these unwanted Edge runs to be a virus. They are as annoying. I have had my default browser set to Chrome on both computers that still have this Edge problem just the same.

The Edge site that comes up without my request is https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/buy/compare-all-microsoft-365-products?ocid=cmmbeumed55&form=M402JX.  Because of this issue I will never buy another Windows computer and I will file an FTC complaint.

I went for that too. SURPRISE!!!! EVERY attempt is a lark, a red herring, a rabbit hole, a diversion.

They want control and wont let you uninstall PERIOD!!!!!!!!! I agree with the guy above: wont be buying this stuff EVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Forgive me if you have difficulty finding the option you probably need to change, but I don't have a Windows 10 machine to check. Right-click on the desktop and select Personalize (or perhaps Personalization). Find the Lock screen options; if you have Windows Spotlight selected, change it to one of the others. Restart the computer. Does Edge start now? (Windows Spotlight uses Edge to open and load the web page displaying the Bing image of the day.)

Thanks again. Edge did not appear in this startup menu likely because I previously went into settings>startup and unchecked Edge

I am sorry that you have this experience with Windows-based computers.

Kindly press Win Key + R to open Run > Type "shell:startup" and press enter > If you see Microsoft Edge, delete it.
