I want to make DuckDuckGo my default BROWSER in Windows 11, but after setting it as default in the APPS, the check mark goes away and Firefox stays as the browser. DDG is the search engine but not the browser.

Hello Chris, sorry about your problems. My name is Marco and I will do my best to help you.
Did you restart the computer and start the process again to set it to default?
You can try this to make Windows reinstall Windows applications.
Open Windows start menu and type: Powershell
Right-click on Powershell to run as admin.
In the powershell windows, copy/paste or type the following command always:
Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
Restart PC
Try again to set DuckDuckGo as your default browser.
I just tried it on my own and for Duckduckgo to appear as default, I had to close the settings page and return to the page where we set it by default.
