Troubleshooting browser crashes or performance issues on Windows 11
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Edge keeps crashing in Windows 11. I have already tried quite a few troubleshooting steps suggested here and it's still not fixed. The last suggestion I received before reinstalling Windows is to reinstall Edge. (Not repair/reinstall from the Add/Remove Programs menu, I've already tried that). I did this but it doesn't look like it worked. When I opened Edge after the reinstall all my tabs re-opened and I just don't think the reinstall worked correctly. Is there a way to uninstall Edge completely and then reinstall it? The option is grayed out in the Remove programs menu.

I DO NOT want EDGE or any of its components on my computer.
I do not like the program, I never asked for it, and I really do not wish to have any program forced upon me.
I paid for my computer, it belongs to me and I should be able to have the option to remove things that I feel are detrimental to my system.
I refuse to allow anyone to access my system without my permission and apparently, your AI program component of Edge will be able to do just that. My job requires that my system be totally secure and allowing a rogue program to explore my hard drive willy-nilly is tantamount to handing the keys to hackers and scammers. I cannot and will not allow it.
I have tried every suggested way to remove this virus of a program and have been unsuccessful.
If this program cannot be removed then I will have to contact the IRS, as they are the ones that require my system to be secure, and inform them that Microsoft is preventing me from complying with the requirements of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act.
As an Income Tax Preparation Specialist, working in conjunction with the IRS to transmit tax returns, I am considered to be a financial institute and therefore bound by Title V, Subtitle A of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (“GLBA”)1 governs the treatment of nonpublic personal information about consumers by financial institutions. Section 502 of the Subtitle, subject to certain exceptions, prohibits a financial institution from disclosing nonpublic personal information about a consumer to nonaffiliated third parties,
Allowing Microsoft's AI to access any financial institution's systems could be in violation of the GLBA and subject said institution to fines.
This program must be able to be deleted from my system.
The fact that Microsoft is FORCING this program and all the spyware that comes with it on us, seems like grounds for a class action lawsuit. As we, as consumers, have 0 choice on the OS being installed on our laptops since Microsoft ABUSED their market position to blackmail all computer companies to exclusively use Microsoft at the cost of Linux being a viable alternative. I'm not authorized to remove your stupid AI per the command prompt in powershell, and all attempts to remove Edge through command prompts has also failed. This is beyond annoying, your browser sucks, your AI assistant sucks. Quit forcing us to use programs that are useless and take up space on the hard drive.

Even this command won't run.
Instructions say "click on latest version"
I did that and come to the "Installer" folder
I held Shift, right mouse clicked, added the setup exe- uninstall code, pressed
Enter and nothing happened. I still have this god-damned intrusive piece-of-**** Edge on my computer!!!
