I powered on my computer this morning and all of my Edge Collections were gone. In addition, there are now a bunch of random suggested images at the bottom of the collections column. Once I started to click on the refresh button, the Collections started to slowly return, one or two at a time, but with no tile photo. Now they are just different pastel-colored tiles. The 'Sort by Name' and other sort options are missing. Now there is just a Manage function when I click on the three dots menu. In addition, the Collections column only shows the upper 10 collections and I now have to click on the 'See all (##)' to see the rest of them. I almost had a coronary when I saw all of my Collections were gone because I have hundreds of links saved in Collections! So my questions are:
Please help. If this is a planned 'enhancement' then I must protest. What a nightmare!

I have not tried adding a new profile, but it seems like that will not fix the problem because the menus within the Collections function have completely changed. I assume adding a new profile will not include any of my Collections and will likely have the same functionality because this appears to be a change in the version 'features'.
Here is the three-dot menu from the main Collections list. Note, if I click on 'Manage', all I get is the ability to move each collection up and down in the list. Also note the unwanted images below the last Collection item:
And here is the submenu from within a collection:
Please bring back "sort by name" in Collections. It used to be there, now gone. Also the new "Start to Collect" function is annoying. Wish there was a way to remove.
When I opened the link you provided to determine the version of Edge, it had a restart button to finish updating. When I clicked the restart button, and the browser came back, my collections were gone for a few seconds, then it said my collections were updated and then when they came up, additional collections showed up. For the additional ones, the order was screwed up. I had sorted the other 66 collections alphabetically yesterday. Took me about 20 minutes. UGhhhhh! Microsoft, WTH are you doing to me!!! The stupid unwanted random images are still there unfortunately.
I tried adding another profile and it has the same menus as mine used to have and what you show above. So my question is, did I somehow get upgraded to some beta version of Edge Collections and that is why my menus changed and I got the unwanted images at the bottom?
Windows 11 version 22H2 (OS Build 22621.1105)
Edge Version: Version 109.0.1518.78 (Official build) (64-bit)
The loss of my Collections and then restore happened in combination with a change in the ... menu at the top. It used to have three sort functions. Now it just has a Manage function that only allows you to manually change the order of each collection. It appears this is a change of functionality purposely done by the developers.
Now that all of the collections are back, the biggest annoyance is the stupid random photos at the bottom taking up space so I have to manually open my additional collections every time I invoke the Collections from the Edge menu.
