I'm trying to download and install google chrome and Microsoft is blocking this . It give a message saying they suggest Edge but they are suggesting they are imposing becaude I can't pass this message and continue with my installation. I can't either change my default browser because the only option it's allowed is set edge as your browser. This is unacceptable., they can't force me to use edge as my browser.

I've done that. NUMEROUS TIMES, windows 11 still forces me to use edge when I click on a web link.
This is the behavior of monopolies just before they start failing.
actually, Microsoft is forcing us to use edge. windows 11 will not allow me to keep firefox as my default browser. It resets to edge each time I restart my system. I also am not allowed to remove Microsoft Edge Webview. I hope there's a class action lawsuit soon, customers who pay thousands for systems shouldn't be held hostage by Microsoft
this is criminal. we PAY for our systems, we should be able to use them in whatever way we see fit. If I don't want to use a Microsoft program I shouldn't have to
i can't run firefox or any other browser. stop forcing me to use your horribly built software to search. edge is the worst browser i've used in my life. and my computer can't run edge well. i dislike microsoft products because they're a resource hungry copypaste of other programs and they do their job worse (cough teams cough)
I have not found an way to bypass this issue yet but when I do I will post it. Many of you may not remember the last law suite on this issue but MS was forced to allow other browsers to be the default a number of years ago. As some of you have found they are now forcing all link clicks in Office 365 to go directly to Edge, effectively by passing the default browser setting all together. This is now forcing you to choose between Office 365 and another office tool. This is about advertising $$ for Microsoft. If they force Edge and Bing they control your clicks which drives revenue.
