Why do my tabs disappear and reappear?

Okay so I had a couple tabs open then all of a sudden most of them disappeared. Eventually I started over and opened new tabs of things. Now those tabs are all gone but remain in my history. The crazy part is that all the old tabs that disappeared are now back. I don't understand what's happening

    Im Juliet and Im happy to help you :)

    Please follow the steps below:

    1. Click on the three-dot menu icon in the top right corner of the browser window.
    2. Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.
    3. Under "Startup, home page, and new tabs", make sure the option "Continue where you left off" is selected.
    4. Scroll down to the "Tabs" section.
    5. Check the setting for "Close unused tabs" and adjust it as necessary.
