Hey, my computer just got a bunch "contact tech support" pop ups about some sort of malware. They wanted me to call the number shown, but when I checked on the Microsoft site, they said they don't sent a number in their reports and that it was probably a scammer. Is this true? And if it is, is my computer safe?

Yes, These are fake so-called Tech Support scam alerts/warnings which you are seeing in your browser. As long as you didn't call them and didn't allow access, there is nothing to worry about.
"Remember that real error messages from Microsoft, or other big tech companies, never include phone numbers for you to call them.
If your screen suddenly fills with scary pop-ups you should immediately close your browser (try pressing ALT+F4 if you can't do it with your mouse). If you can’t close your browser try restarting your computer."
