Prompt is The proxy https://us9761.nordvpn.com:90 requires a username and password. This has been happening for the past week or so. I've tried my MS logins, my NordVpn login and none works. Surprisingly I can open the pages using InPrivate browsing with no problem.

I am at my wits end and very frustrated. Why is this happening and what username and password is expected?

My OS is Windows 11 Home Version 22H2 and all updates have been installed.

I've restarted and rebooted but no luck.

    Hello MAKMNDB,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community!

I understand that you are experiencing a situation where you are being asked to log in to Edge, and it must be causing you a lot of distress and confusion, and I understand how you feel.

This situation can be due to a number of reasons. Here are some possible solutions:

    1. No problem in InPrivate browsing mode may be due to one of the following reasons:
    • Interference from extensions or plug-ins: Some browser extensions or plug-ins may conflict with specific web pages or features and cause problems. In InPrivate browsing mode, these extensions and plug-ins are disabled, so there may be no interference.
    • Differences in cache and browsing history: In InPrivate browsing mode, browsers usually do not save browsing history, cache files, etc., which may lead to the resolution of certain issues. you can try clear browser cache and cookies: In the upper right corner of Edge click on "..." In the top right corner of Edge, click "..." --- in Settings, find the "Clear browsing data" option, and select Clear cache and cookies. Please back up all your personal files first, such as Favorites, to ensure you do not lose data.
    1. Check Proxy Server Settings:

Unfortunately I can't seem to view the link you provided, check the domain name of this link, it seems that you are using a proxy server, please open Edge Browser, click on the menu icon in the upper right corner (three dots), select "Settings" and open the "Network and Internet" option. Internet" option. In the "Proxies" section, make sure the proxy server setting is turned off. If a proxy server is turned on, try turning it off and reloading the page.

    1. Reset Edge Browser Settings:

Sometimes, resetting Edge Browser settings can solve the problem. In Edge, click on the menu icon (three dots) in the upper right corner, select "Settings", then scroll to the bottom and select "Restore Settings". Please note that this will erase all your personal data and settings, so make sure you back up your important data in advance.
