What is the McAfee Web Advisor Extension, and do I need it. I utilize Windows 11 Security... isn't that enough?

    Hi Danny,

    I am Dave, I will help you with this.

    Sometimes McAfee utilities come pre-installed on PC's, if you are using Windows 11 Security you are fully protected and you do not need any more protection and you can safely uninstall that McAfee utility.

    I want to get rid of the dam thing,I have uninstalled it and it still pops on the screen

    I have been having the same problem: I can't uninstall software that goes by the name McAfee Web Advisor. Also, something unknown is causing the (normal) NT Kernel & System process to use about 25% of my CPU.

    A full scan by Windows Defender, updated today, turned up nothing.

    This morning, I received an e-mail from ******@gmail.com using the McAfee name informing me that $459.63 is being deducted from my bank account to pay for "Life-Lock 365 TN".
