    Hi

    Welcome to Microsoft community.

I understand how frustrating it can be when a feature doesn't work as expected. The issue you're experiencing seems to be related to how Microsoft Edge handles captive portal login pages (the pop-up windows that appear when you try to connect to public Wi-Fi networks).

Here are some steps you could try:

    1. Clear Cache and Cookies: Go to Edge settings > Privacy, search and services > Clear browsing data > Choose what to clear. Select Cached images and files and Cookies and other site data, then click on Clear. Disclaimer: Your browser automatically saves temporary internet files to help pages load faster. Clearing this cache will sometimes fix website issues. Please back up all your personal files first, such as Favorites, to ensure you do not lose data.
    2. Enable Pop-ups: Make sure that the pop-up blocker is not enabled in Microsoft Edge settings. You can check this under Settings > Site permissions > Pop-ups and redirects.
    3. Reset Browser Settings: If the above steps don't work, consider resetting your browser settings in Microsoft Edge: Go to Settings > Reset settings.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any further updates, thanks.

    Best regards
