MSN Weather E-tree level 10 now requires 50,000 points as compared to earlier of 10,000?

I noticed that my tree was not leveling up at the usual speed. Upon checking the "certificates" (shows the trees planted so far and the progress of the current one), I was astonished to find that goal was now 50000 points. My status: 6090/50000 Level 6 which otherwise would have been 6090/10000 Level 9.

I see no official communication from Microsoft about this. Although, the E-tree app on the Edge sidebar still behaves as earlier.

    seems this update depend of the customer face (or rank).

    The top3 are not affected by this new change. i checked the ranking for the 3 last weeks and Yggdrasil, mike 38112, E-Tree DRR are always able to plant a new tree every 10k point like before when most of lower rank like us are forced with the 50000point ****.

    If it is really an update. i ask the top3 accounts being also updated with the 50k/tree. It is totally unfair if they have special treatment.

    I was in the top 100 e-tree planters until about six weeks ago when I started dropping off and realized that the app wants me to obtain 500000 points instead of 5000 to pass levels and I am stuck at my 49th tree for six weeks. It is progressing at a snails pace and won't allow my progress even when I finally do reach level 10, it bumps me back down without planting a tree. I have raised issue with feedback, but NO response. Please lmk if you find out what's going on. Thanks!

    I have the exact same issue! I sent a Support Ticket and just got the scripted autoresponse back and have heard nothing further. It's discouraging to take so long to hit 50,000, so if that is the case my time will be better spent doing something else.

    It seems to top out when reaching level 7 (10,000 points) instead of level 10, if I use the phone app I can plant a new tree and get some bonus points for planting a new tree, it does not work on the PC or on the sidebar.
