Troubleshooting browser crashes or performance issues on Windows 10
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Hi teams,
hope this message finds you well.
We're having a huge issue with Microsoft Edge WebView2.
I've read that other users have the same problem.
Each time we're trying to uninstall the Microsoft Edge WebView2 runtime, it's installating it again the next day with automatic windows updates.
Could you help us with this issue ?
Thank you

I am running into the same issue:.
When trying to open Outlook I get the below error.
It seems to be related to the Webview2.
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

Thank you Tommy for your message !
Can this concern only for some brands or models of computers ?
I mean, on my personal computer, no problem and WebViewer2 is installed.
Any way to definitively remove Microsoft Edge and its updates ?
I'll also drop a message to Edge team.
Cheers.
Alain
Hello Team,
We are experiencing the same issue with Webview2 runtime application. Is there any workaround or solution to the same?
Same Problem here: the following happens in the system.
Start Outlook -> some msedgewebview2.exe instances will start. Some of these instances going instant to "Suspended". New instances will be created with the result that 2 of them will always going to "Suspended". It's a loop.
In the folder "C:\Users%username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Wef\webview2\c465a622-034c-4783-9545-fa1a5d5152a6_ADAL\2\EBWebView\Crashpad\reports" a new crashdump file will be created. Every second a new file with 4MB.
a Workaround is this: (1) Update your Edge Web View on Windows 10/11 : Amd (reddit.com)
Hello Alain TRINH
Welcome to Microsoft Community.
Regarding to your information I assume that WebView2 has high CPU usage.
We can't produce your problem but some users are also reporting this problem.
Microsoft Edge WebView2 runtime allows you to embed web technologies (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript) in your native apps.
The WebView2 control uses Microsoft Edge as the rendering engine to display the web content in native apps. So if you uninstall it it will have
some problems when you use Windows and Windows will update this runtime automatically so maybe you can try to use Windows update
hide tool to hide all updates. (this tool is too old so the Edge will tell you not safe don't mind this.)
You can also submit this problem in Edge by pressing Alt+Shift+I let the Edge team know about these problems and it will help them
fix these problems.
If there is anything not clear, please do not hesitate to let me know.
Best Regards,
