Managing browser extensions in Microsoft Edge on Windows 11
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
I uninstalled my adblocker after it was causing issues with YouTube a while ago, and it didn't seem to be much of a problem until I started looking at news sites or articles for my education. They required me to turn off my adblocker, even though it was uninstalled. I started searching the forums and couldn't find anyone who had reported comparable problems, although I followed some steps. Examples: reinstalling and uninstalling said extension; modifying or repairing Edge via the built-in Edge executable; and resetting the browser. None of which worked. Anything would be great. I don't want to uninstall and reinstall Windows because I don't have the time to reinstall the applications I use. It is frustrating that, as a minority user of Edge, they won't let me uninstall and reinstall the application completely.
Please do not tell me to use another browser.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

So, I just found the issue. It's super odd, but you click on the lock icon in your address bar, click "Tracking Prevention for this Site," and turn it off. I guess websites can only determine if you have an ad blocker through tracking. I have also included images for you.
Edit: It took 4 months but we are finally here. Hopefully, others will find this useful, and not just a couple of Edge's last users.
I have the same problem on both edge and chrome.
Somehow, this issue still has not been solved. So I have decided to swap over to chrome since no one can get back to me on this.
Even after uninstalling your ad blocker, if websites still detect it, there are a few steps you can take. Firstly, manually check for any leftover files related to the ad blocker and delete them.
Do you have any directories that I should take to get to the folders I should check for leftover files?
