Managing tabs, address bar, and search settings in Edge on Windows 11

All of a sudden Microsoft Edge changed how information is displayed. Instead of showing a row of open tabs horizontally on top of my screen now tabs are shown with an icon in a sidebar. Can I go back to the old look?

Hi,
I'm Rodrigo and I'll help you.
To change the tabs to the top side, right-click anywhere on the sidebar and select "Turn off vertical tabs"
Okay I figured out how to use the new layout and I get the fact that in someways it's an improvement but it took me over an hour to learn how to use the new layout and making changes like that is why I HATE software development. Please please please consider how your updates make it hard for the average user when you simply cram the change down our throats with zero explanation.
I'd still like to know if I can revert to the old look.
And now I figured it out on my own. The sidebar icon on the top left has the "turn off vertical tabs" option which reverts to the look I was used to, but now I have to admit that vertical tabs increases screen realestate so net-net I hate to admit it is an improvement. I searched and searched and did not find this information anywhere. That's the only item that's still an annoyance. I can't believe I'm the only person that needed to learn this so why the simple explanation doesn't show up in searches is a mystery.
Thank You
