Managing bookmarks, browsing history, and downloads in Edge on Windows 10

Nothing works. There is no file menu dropdown in the upper left corner as many others seem to have. None of the Alt- stuff works. Is there really a way to perform the conversion? Selecting Save as PDF only saves a link back to Edge. Very frustrated. If there isn't a way, please let me know. I worry about using exotic file extensions so does Edge offer one?

Thank you for the reply. My option is Microsoft Print to PDF (virtual printer not mentioned). Anyway, it just saves it as a Microsoft Edge PDF document which still opens in Edge.
If you have Edge set as the default for PDF files, they will all open in Edge.
If you want to use a different application to open a PDF, right click a PDF file and select properties, then click the 'Change' button on the resulting dialog and from the resulting lists, set your preferred application to open PDF files.
Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.
If you press Ctrl + P and set the printer as the 'Microsoft Print to PDF' virtual printer, does that successfully save the file out to a PDF in a location of your choice?
I have the same problem and did try your method but the result is still same. PDF file are open in Edge and file type shows as MIcrosoft Edge PDF Document
Hi,
I had the same problem and just solved it this way :
if you change the default app for the .pdf extension, then your problem will solved, even if Microsoft Edge PDF... is the file type..
