FAMILY SAFETY SHOULD NOT EXIST

I hate it so bad!!! Sometimes my parent gives me more time and it doesn't work! And it turns off my laptop so suddenly even if there's a video on or a call or even if there's an app with a free trial that will end! It once closed when I set the date a little too far into the future and it took so long for my parent to fix! It also blocks websites for no reason even if it's a character creator and it doesnt even block potentially NSFW websites!! It even signed me out of YouTube for no reason and when I signed back in, it didn't work!!! Also it lacks privacy A TON. Like, I don't want my parents to see all of my search history! IT SUCKS AND SHOULD STOP EXISTING!!!!!!!! Also, I'm a YouTuber and I have to post today but I can't because of this stupid app! And it keeps sending messages on how much time is left in the middle of my gameplay and stops me!! And it should at least give a 60 second countdown on the top left corner of the screen. I didnt even want to waste my time writing this because you don't deserve my time, developers.

I've talked to my parents about this matter several times but they still think this software is useful while it's not! It's only made to torture minors. And I tried to sign back into YouTube but I have to switch accounts on Microsoft Edge to use YouTube, which is pure agony.

    Hi Linda,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I'm Hahn and I'm here to help you with your concern.

I understand that you're experiencing frustration with the Family Safety features. It sounds like there are several issues that are impacting your user experience, from unexpected shutdowns to privacy concerns. While I can't change the Family Safety settings or its functionality, I can offer some suggestions that might help:

    1. Communication: It's important to communicate your concerns to your parents so they can understand how it's affecting your work as a YouTuber and your overall experience using the laptop. They might be able to adjust the settings or find alternative solutions that work better for both of you.
    2. Feedback: You can try reaching out to the developers or support team of the Family Safety app to provide feedback on your issues and suggest improvements that could make it less intrusive and more user-friendly.

Microsoft attaches great importance to user experience, you can submit your ideas and suggestions through the Feedback Hub, and the development team will regularly review submissions for ideas or fixes. Send feedback to Microsoft with the Feedback Hub app - Microsoft Support

Please share the feedback link here after submitting as it will allow others on the forum to vote for your submission, including me. More votes will lead to more visibility and higher priority to the development team.

    1. Privacy: If privacy is a concern, you might want to talk to your parents about setting up more private browsing options or discussing which parts of your activity they need to monitor.

Remember, the intention behind Family Safety features is to protect and manage the digital wellbeing of family members, especially minors. However, it's important that it works well and respects users' needs. Your feedback is valuable in helping to achieve that balance.

    Your Sincerely

Hahn - MSFT | Microsoft Community Support Specialist

    Hi Linda,

I'm sorry to hear that your discussions with your parents haven't led to any changes regarding the Family Safety software.

Microsoft attaches great importance to user experience. Can you tell me your age first so that engineers can better understand your situation and enable us to better improve the Microsoft Family Safely experience.

    Your Sincerely
