    Those instructions do not work.

I'm sure there is another way because my corporate laptop does not run it.

How can we prevent this "unwanted feature" from working?

I can tell you that as of today, this does not work at all either options, the command line or ccleaner. It would sure be nice to remove this bloatedware as i do not use edge at all and regardless of how little memory is used, i want it gone. How do i remove it?

    Hello, Obubbie

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

You can uninstall WebView2 using Command Prompt or a third-party program. If you want to use the command prompt, search for Command Prompt in the Windows search box and then run it as an administrator. Enter the following command:

    cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\EdgeWebView\Application\1*\Installer

1* represents your current version number. If you're unsure, you can find this folder in File Explorer at C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\EdgeWebView\Application, and then copy the folder name you see. Then press Enter to run the command.

    Next, enter the following command:

    setup.exe --uninstall --msedgewebview --system-level --verbose-logging --force-uninstall

Press Enter again to run the command.

Using a third-party program can be a bit easier. You can install CCleaner to uninstall WebView2.

I tried a few ways to delete it, and the only one that worked for me was using IOBit uninstaller: https://www.iobit.com/en/advanceduninstaller

Thank you SO much for this. I just found a ChatGPT thing piggybacking on this program, scraping my stuff without my knowledge. I'm very happy to have uninstalled it, and while I was at it, Edge itself. Thanks again.
