Can you bring back the Restore Deleted Favorites button because I just lost a bunch of reference sites.

I've been looking up answers to the question of recovering deleted favorite folders and found no real solutions to this problem. Can you please restore the recovery button because this is time consuming and I have a bunch of other things to organize for my art studio. Having mistakenly deleted folders is something I've gone through before on Microsoft Edge and it is frustrating.

Thank you.

    Hello Steven,

Thank you for contacting the Microsoft Community Support Specialist regarding this issue. I understand how frustrating it is to lose your Favorites in Microsoft Edge, especially when organizing your important reference sites. While there is no "Restore Deleted Favorites" button, there are a few ways to recover lost favorites:

    Steps to Recover Deleted Favorites:

    1. Check the Favorites Bar and Sync Settings
      • If you use Microsoft Edge on multiple devices, check if your Favorites still appear on another device.
      • Go to Settings > Profiles > Sync and ensure Favorites syncing is turned on.
    2. Try Restoring a Backup
      • Open File Explorer and go to:C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\Default
      • Look for a file called Bookmarks.bak. If found, rename it to Bookmarks and restart Edge.
    3. Check for Edge History Recovery
      • Open Edge and go to Settings > Profiles > Import browser data.
      • If you previously used another browser, you might be able to import old bookmarks from there.
    4. Use System Restore (If Available)
      • If your system has a restore point, it might help recover lost Edge data.
      • Type Restore Point in the Windows search bar and follow the on-screen steps.

If none of these steps recover your deleted favorites so, there may be no direct way to restore them once removed. I understand how inconvenient this can be, and I recommend keeping backups of favorites periodically.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you need further assistance.

    Best Regards,
