I tried all above and Nothing works! Still get Oops! Something went wrong. - YouTube screen when I try to sign into YouTube.
@RobinsonSilvestre, there are no corrupted files to repair. I have https://www.youtube.com together with another about 30 sites in my list of "Don't clear" (cookies) in Edge. It only happens with it. That is, getting signed out automatically. It has to do with MS's general lack of control of flags and data or changing them w/o user consent. A ages old problem!
On the other hand and inn contrast to Edge, Firefox, for instance, never does that.
Do you have any third-party antivirus or cache cleaner tools like CCleaner installed on your computer?
same it doesnt work anything, maybe i must delete my edge and canghe to chrome but if you have any solution pleas help me
Hi, Sandi,
Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue.
Here are some possible causes for this problem.
Option 1: The option "Clear browsing data on close" is enabled. Disabling this option will fix the problem.
1-Open the Microsoft Edge
2-Click on the three dots(...) and click on Settings
3-Click on "Privacy, search, and services"
4-Scroll down to "Clear browsing data" and click on "Choose what to clear every time you close the browser"
5-Make sure the option "Cookies and other site data" is disabled
6-Relaunch the browser and check if the problem is fixed
Option 2: There is a corruption on the Edge settings. Restoring the Edge settings to their default values should fix the problem.
1-Open the Microsoft Edge
2-Click on the three dots(...) and click on Settings
3-Click on "Reset settings" on the left panel, then click on "Restore settings to their default values" on the right panel
4-Click on the "Reset" button
5-When finished, relaunch the browser and check if the problem is fixed
Note: This will reset your startup page, new tab page, search engine, and pinned tabs. It will also turn off all extensions and clear temporary data like cookies. Your favorites, history and saved passwords will not be cleared.
Option 3: There is a corruption on the Edge cache. Clearing the browser cache should fix their problem.
1-Open the browser then press Ctrl+Shift+Delete
2-Change the time range to "All time"
3-Check all options then click on the Clear button.
4-Relaunch the browser and check if the problem is fixed
Alert: This procedure will delete all cached files including saved passwords and autofill information.
Option 4: There is a corruption in the Edge installation files. You can repair the Edge installation in the Apps settings.
1-Click on Start then click on Settings
2-Click on Apps then click on Installed apps
3-Search for Edge, click on the three dots (...) and click on "Modify"
4-Click on the "Repair" button and follow the instructions
5-When finished, relaunch the browser and check if the problem is fixed
I hope this information helps. If you have any questions or the problem persists, please let me know and I'll be glad to assist you further.
