Hi!
I think I'm in trouble processing PDFs. I have a DELL laptop that runs Windows 11 and subcribed to Office 365. I want to make a slight change to a PDF file that was exported from Excel. There are a lot of data and I just found one mistake so I need to change it, but I failed to find the edit text function in Microsoft Edge. I used to mark up PDFs in it and it works well. Did I missed something or it just cannot edit texts in PDF? I have Office 365 if this helps.
Any help is appreciated!

Hi Ross Fawcettt,
The PDF format wasn't designed for editing. By using PDF standard, documents can be viewed consistently on different devices, which is just the reason Adobe created this file extension. If you just need to make minor modifications to a PDF, using a PDF editor would be fine.
Adobe Acrobat is a powerful PDF editor with all the features that a PDF file can do. Take some time to install it and purchase a license and you'll be fine when editing PDFs in the future.
But since it is just a minor change in your case, a money-saving solution would be great. PDFgear can do this for free. It's easy to edit PDFs with it.
Take the right tool to make things easier.

Hi.
Thank you for your help! I didn't know that PDF was not suitable for editing.
I tried Adobe before and the price is quite high for one-time use.
PDFgear is good. I've tried it and it works very well. Hard to believe such a tool is free.
Thank you again!

Hi!
So Microsoft Edge cannot edit texts in PDF? I though I missed it. It will be more powerful if Edge can do this. Do you know how to send a feedback to the develop team of Microsoft Edge?
Yes there are only a form in the PDF without any handwritings. Just a regular price list and nothing special. The mistake is on one of the prices and I can't find the original Excel file. Do you know how can I edit that price? Thank you!
Ross
Hi Ross Fawcettt,
Microsoft Edge could view and annotate PDFs, but not editing. Therefore, you may need to find another solution.
Since your PDF is exported from Excel, it likely contains tables. Are their formats complicated? Does the part you need to modify contain handwriting?
