When trying to open PDF documents on Microsoft Edge, I am getting the following error message 'this document is digitally signed. Some signatures are invalid'.
With this message it does not allow me to add text or edit the PDF. I used to be able to open the exact same document on the same laptop and it worked fine before. I am able to edit the same PDF document fine on my old laptop using Microsoft Edge. Can you help with this?

Hi, LMS_764
Welcome to the Microsoft community.
This error message may have the following causes:
From your description, since the same file could be opened in the past and on other devices, it is likely an issue with the PDF reader version. You can try switching the version of Edge's PDF Viewer to see if that resolves your issue.
edge://flags/#edge-new-pdf-viewer
Additionally, you can test with a different version of Edge to see if it is a problem with a specific version of Edge.

I am having the same issue. How did you switch the pdf version?
thanks!
Thank you for your advice, much appreciated. Switching the PDF version seems to have resolved this issue.
Hi,
I have a similar issue: the PDF signature is always declared unknown. Do you experience the same? Switching the PDF reader does not help. I believe they missed some root certificates. But even when I tried to include the certificate in edge, it could not validate the signature.
Thankful for any hints!
