How do I set the overall appearance of Edge browser to match the system accent colour

I have always set the overall appearance of my Microsoft edge browser as "System Default" (which is set to "cool blue" in the Settings app). This has always worked, and my Edge browser reflects this accent colour. However now it suddenly displays a weird grey colour even though I have not changed any settings and the system colour is still blue which is reflected by all other apps as well. I have tried restarting my laptop, restarting the Edge browser, setting the Overall Appearance to something else (Light or Dark) and then "System Default" again. But nothing works. Please help me resolve this problem. I just want my browser's overall colour to be the same as the rest of my apps just like it used to be earlier.

Hi Hanosh, I am Paulo and I'd like to help.

It appears Edge does not follow the color accent set in your Windows by setting it to System default. This might be a bug, but to add color in Edge, you need to change the theme and select a color that is closest to Cool Blue.

Thank you for attaching the images. The recent Edge updates must've changed this behavior. As this is a bug, unfortunately, there is no fix available yet. For now, you can report this by pressing Alt+Shift+i so the developers can investigate this properly and hopefully get it fixed on the next update.

    Hi Paulo,

Thanks for the tip. I have tried to do this as well, but it hasn't worked as intended. It simply changes the colour of the entire browser as opposed to the frame. To give you better clarity on the issue I am attaching a screenshot I had taken before this issue arose.

I find this appearance much more user friendly and would really prefer to restore it if possible.

But this is what it looks like now:

I hope to find a solution soon.

Thanks again for your swift response.
