It's been a problem for a few months by now. I cannot access some websites such as google search engine, gmail, and some other search engines. However, some websites are fine and I can also access

google using other browser (chrome). It doesn't seem to be an internet connection issue and I have tried restarting my laptop multiple times. The error message I got when I use ME is either "ERR_TUNNEL_CONNECTION_FAILED" or "The requested URL could not be retrieved"

ERROR The requested URL could not be retrieved

The following error was encountered while trying to retrieve the URL: http://google.ca/

Access Denied.

Access control configuration prevents your request from being allowed at this time. Please contact your service provider if you feel this is incorrect.

    Hello,

Thank you for posting your query in this forum. According to your post, I understand that you are facing issues with Microsoft Edge. The error messages you provided suggest that there may be a network or proxy configuration issue causing the problem. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:

    • Clear browsing data in Microsoft Edge by going to Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Clear browsing data. Make sure to select "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files" before clearing.
    • Reset Microsoft Edge settings by going to Settings > Reset settings and click on "Restore settings to their default values."
    • Also check proxy settings by going to Settings > Network and Internet > Proxy and make sure that the proxy settings are configured correctly.
    • Some extensions may interfere with browsing. Try disabling extensions in Microsoft Edge to see if that resolves the issue.
    • You can also try to uninstall and reinstall the new Microsoft Edge by following the below link. Download and install the new Microsoft Edge

If the issue persists after trying these steps, please contact your network administrator or Internet service provider for further assistance.

Once everything is resolved, feel free to mark this resolution as answer and helpful. If not, please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.  Sincerely,Paro_7276 || Microsoft Community Support Specialist
