Hi all,
Outlook attachments are having problems displaying in Edge. My default .pdf program is Adobe (or Chrome, multiple users and Ive tried multiple things). When an attachment is clicked in Outlook webmail, it simply shows a white screen. I can have Edge open, Chrome open, and the Outlook app open all to the same email previewing the same attachment, and Chrome works, Outlook app works, but webmail in Edge does not. I just started getting complaints from users at my company yesterday... Ive just been having people use the app or Chrome as a bandaid, but is there something Im missing here? If the user logs out and logs back into webmail on Edge it works for a little while, and the issue is intermittent in general. Thanks.

Microsoft server problem. No ETA on fix
EX765364, Users may be intermittently unable to download attachments or view embedded images in Outlook on the web.
User impact: Users may be intermittently unable to download attachments or view embedded images in Outlook on the web.
More info: Users may see the following error message when an attachment fails to download: “Error downloading the file content.” Downloading attachments and embedded image viewing may succeed after signing out and then back into Outlook on the web. If available, users can download attachments and view embedded images consistently through the Outlook desktop client. We’re validating whether this problem also intermittently impacts Outlook mobile.
Current status: After further review of the reported impact scenario, we've confirmed that Outlook on the web users also may be unable to view embedded images in email messages and that both impact scenarios are intermittent occurring. We've updated the “Title”, “User impact”, and “More info” accordingly. Our internal validation process has identified some necessary adjustments to the fix which have been added and are undergoing additional testing. Once complete, we’ll review our timeline estimate for deploying the fix to all affected users.
Scope of impact: Users attempting to download attachments and viewing embedded images in Outlook on the web may be intermittently impacted.
Root cause: A recent update, intended to improve the reliability of Outlook on the web, contains a code configuration issue that's causing long running sessions, preventing attachment downloads and embedded image viewing.

Hi,
I can now confirm, clearing browser cache is just a temporarty workaround. The issue comes back quite quickly and concerns more and more users day after day.
Hope Microsoft will find what goes wrong with OWA.
Many thanks in advance,
Best regards,
Jérôme
We been having the same issue on Office 365 environment. Please let us know when this bug will be fixed. Clearing cookies and cache temporarily fixes the issue but happens again withing 1-2 hours. I can confirm multiple people in our organization are having this same issue.

Hello Jude Bagels,
Welcome to the Microsoft Community!
I understand that you are experiencing problems with Outlook Web mail attachment preview in edge.
I noticed that you mentioned "corporate users", is the environment in which corporate users are using the device part of a domain environment, managed in an organization/enterprise? If so, are you an administrator?
There is an issue with Outlook Webmail attachment preview in Edge. When a user clicks on an attachment it displays a white screen, the issue may be intermittent and can be temporarily resolved by the user logging out and logging back into Web Mail on Edge. I understand that this situation is troubling for you and your organization's users, we have recently received feedback from some of our users that they are experiencing a white screen when logging in to outlook, but we have not received a white screen when opening attachments before, we have tried to test this situation but we can open attachments without any problems in outlook on the edge.
Since this situation is specific to the edge, perhaps you can consider the following ways to improve the situation:
1. Plugin Extension Interference
Click on the three water dots in the top right corner of Edge, click on "New InPrivate Window" and see what happens here.
If the situation changes and you no longer experience the checkboxes being hidden in privacy mode, it means that there are some plugins in your edge that may be interfering with the display of the checkboxes.
2. Clear your browser cache and cookies:
Sometimes browser cache and cookies can cause problems, try clearing them and reloading your Outlook web page
In the top right corner of Edge click on "..." In the top right corner of Edge, click "..." --- in Settings, find the option "Clear Browsing Data" and select Clear Cache and Cookies, then click on "Clear Cache and Cookies".
Disclaimer: Your browser automatically saves temporary internet files to help pages load faster. Clearing this cache will sometimes fix website issues. . Please back up all your personal files first, such as Favorites, to ensure you do not lose data.
3. Reset Edge Settings
To reset Edge settings, click "..." in the upper right corner of Edge. --- Settings --- Reset --- Restart the browser.
As this issue is intermittent, we do not troubleshoot whether the problem you are experiencing is a newly-emerged bug, we will monitor this thread and collect relevant user feedback in order to identify emerging issues in a timely manner.
Thank you for your feedback, any additional information or new findings regarding this thread would be welcome and we hope you and your company's users can resolve this issue without any problems.
Best Regards ,
