Managing tabs, address bar, and search settings in Edge on Windows 10
This browser is no longer supported.

I was doing the tasks for more points for Microsoft Rewards and the prompt was something along the lines of pick your favorite site as an app. I chose amazon because I always have a tab open on my browser at work. When I did this though a separate/dedicated amazon icon appeared on my taskbar which I did not like. So I went to uninstall what I did but the icon will reappear if I have an Amazon tab open in my Edge browser. The only way to get rid of it is by closing the tab. I have tried trouble shooting it but I can't get it back to the way I had it before I did the microsoft rewards task. I am attaching a screenshot because when the app was installed it was solid looking, not it is semi faded. The screenshot shows that I have already unpinned this from my taskbar and all I can do now is close window. For now I am just using Firefox as my browser but I prefer using Edge at work and would like to fix this. As for what I have tried, I have tried unpinning it and looking up how to uninstall an app. Thank you for your help ahead of time.

Hi Joe Vitiello1,
Thank you for Posting in Microsoft Community.
To prevent the Amazon icon from appearing on your taskbar when you have an Amazon tab open in Microsoft Edge, you can follow these steps:
This should prevent the Amazon icon from appearing on your taskbar when you have an Amazon tab open in Microsoft Edge. If you have already unpinned the icon from the taskbar, closing the tab should remove the icon.
Let me know how it goes,
