Hi,
I was using Mac OSX for work and I found the read aloud options very handy. In Mac OSX I had or could configure shortcuts to read a selected text, speed up, slow down, stop and so on.
My personal laptop runs on Windows. I tried Narrator and Read Aloud and couldn't find a way to do it so simple. Read Aloud is the closest but when I want to only read a part of the text, I need to either:
For changing speed I tried Alt+Right, Alt+Left, which I read in some random page but they didn't work.
Is there a way to do what I want?
Thanks in advance and bet regards,
Jorge

Hello, Jorge Fernández2.
Welcome to Microsoft Community.
From your description, I understand that you have some questions about reading aloud.
Currently, reading aloud is not as convenient as you think.
To read a specified text, you can only try to mark it with the mouse, then right-click "Start reading from here."
For the reading speed, you can manually modify it first.
Open Read Aloud -> Click the Voice Option on the toolbar -> Adjust the reading speed
There is currently no way to fully achieve your goal.
We recommend that you provide feedback to the development team through Edge's feedback function.
(Share your suggestions with the development team to help the development team improve Read Aloud.)
Open Edge browser->click the three dots on edge->Help and Feedback->Send Feedback
Thank you for your suggestions and understanding.
Best regards.
