At 6.30 a.m everything was working fine-I had my Edge with all the open tab , all my history, favourites, setting.
When I open PC at 3p.m after I cam home- no tabs, Edge looks different, no favourites, no history - even that idiot bing is used as searched engine, so I cannot even find anything.
THERE AHS BEEN NOBODY HERE, IT MUST HAVE BEEN SOME UPDATE UPDATED- I WANT ALL MY TABS BACK ON, ALL SETING, FAVOURITES HISTORY., THIS IS TRAGIC!!!!!
I had to setup microsoft account to even be able to ask the question- if not cost that much money the PC will be thrown out of the windows. This is so rude!
MICROSOFT HOW DO I GET MY DATA BACK!!!!?????

Are you syncing your browser to your Microsoft account?
When you sync your browser, your open tabs, browsing history, favourites, settings, and much more ... everything here
are saved to your Microsoft account, where they will be available to you the next time you open Microsoft Edge. In fact, you can open Microsoft Edge on any computer anywhere in the world, sign in to your Microsoft account, and everything you synced will be there waiting for you.
On the other hand, if you're not syncing your browser, none of those things are stored in your Microsoft account, so you will be limited to whatever was cached locally, if anything.
When Microsoft Edge updates - when Windows updates - old files are often replaced with new versions of those files. If any of those files that were replaced contained your settings, the new versions of those files will have default settings.
(Most people would not want Microsoft to look through their computers to find their browser settings, store those settings in Microsoft's servers, and then restore those settings after an update. They would accuse Microsoft of 'spying'.)
Nevertheless, if you are syncing your browser, whether Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome or any other Chromium-based browser, all you have to do is to sign in to your browser and your stored settings will repopulate within a minute or two.
Dear nastvana
Thank you for posting in the Microsoft community.
I'm sorry to learn that much of your Edge browser data has disappeared.
Let us try to assist you in checking your Edge settings.
In the address bar, type edge://sync-internals/
Check the Type Info on the right hand side to confirm what the number of Total Entries and Live Entries is, if it's not 0.
You may still be able to retrieve your data.
If it is not 0, you may still be able to retrieve your data. You can take a screenshot and send it to us.
Create a new profile.
Then type edge://profile-internals/ in the address bar.
Here you can see the path where your profile is located, copy and paste the files from the old profile into the new one and overwrite them. See if that fixes it.
Also recently have received feedback from other users in the community with similar issues to yours, where their data reappeared again after an Edge update, so you could try updating your EDGE to the latest version, it could be a temporary issue with the EDGE update configuration.
Best Wish
