Unable to fill out PDF form in Microsoft Edge: Text disappears

I'm trying to fill out a PDF form in Microsoft Edge. First, I tried copying and pasting text from Notepad into a text field in Edge. The text pasted correctly, but then disappeared when I clicked outside the text field to move onto the next text field. I tried typing the text instead of pasting it, and that worked. The text stayed even when I clicked outside the text field, except for one problem. I need to type a lot of text in one field, and it took me a long time. I had to click outside the text field to do something. The text I had already entered stayed, but when I entered more text into that field, the new text disappeared when I clicked outside the text field. Please help me enter text in a text field by copying and pasting, or stop the text from disappearing when I return to the text field to add more text.

    Hi, Mama G1

    Welcome to the Microsoft community.

Are you using English text? Some non-English text can cause the issue you described. Since PDF readers don't offer many customization options, you can try using either an older or a newer version of the PDF reader. If neither works, you can report the issue to the Edge developers using Alt+Shift+I and wait for them to fix it.

I figured out it was because I copied and pasted the 'section sign' symbol § used to reference laws. The issue was resolved when I deleted the symbol. I want to recommend allowing users to add symbols, such as alt code symbols, when filling out pdf forms in Microsoft Edge. Maybe add a symbol insert tool to notebook.
