Hi Ronda S.,
Welcome to Microsoft Community.
It seems that there is no configuration option in Microsoft Edge to directly disable specific websites.
Based on the experience of other community members, to disable access to specific websites you may indeed need to use additional extensions. Or you may need to block the scope of a particular website at the system level via the "hosts" file.
For example, the rule related to "127.0.0.1" mentioned in the following thread.
"127.0.0.1" can be referred to as "localhost" in some scenarios.
When you use this rule, traffic to a particular website is redirected to "127.0.0.1", meaning that the traffic circulates on the local network and does not interact with the actual external Internet.
As a result, the website configured with this rule will be in an inaccessible state.
If I misunderstand your situation, feel free to correct me and share the information.
Best Regards,

Using a website blocking add-on is only one of the ways to block websites in Edge. Whether it's the best way depends on your needs. But it's definitely an easy way. You can also block websites by editing the hosts file on your computer, which applies to Edge and any other browser installed on your computer.
Thank you so much for uploading this! solved my problem
I have some site from India --- popping up repeated popups claiming my Norton has expired, then that my McAfee has expired. I have never used either one. I use PCMatic.
Because of this, my PCMatic will not respond when I click the Scan button. (If it scans, it can remove malware.)
These things are popping up every few seconds. I've had it. How the heck do I get rid of this?
