How do i change my default download browser?

Everytime i download something, my latest example minecraft iris mod, it downloads as an edge file so i can't open it in java. How do i change that?

    What extension does the file you've downloaded end with? Also, which version of Minecraft are you using ? The Java one or the Bedrock one ?

    Open your Download folder and find the file you've just downloaded. Right-click on the file and choose “Properties”.

    Click on the “Change” button, which is next to the “Opens with…” text.

    Windows will let you pick your desired app : just select the Java Platform / Java Binary (the name can vary depending on your install).
