How do I transfer profile data to another profile on the same unit?

I did the following:

  • Press Windows key + R and from there copy and paste the path below
    %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\
  • Check if there a folder named Profile 1 or any Profile related folder
  • Create a new folder and name it as Profile 2 or Profile 3 and so forth
  • Go to the Profile folder that you are looking into replicating and copy the contents of it and then paste it on the newly created Profile folder
  • Check if this was able to replicate it

And the data is there in the folder, but how do I use in the new profile?

It should sync over, there should be no need of doing anything. Could you confirm the path you are using?

Thanks Sumit, but I have succeded with creating a new profile and folder, also copying the data. It's just that I then cannot find it when logged in on the profile.

    Hi Magnus,

I'm Sumit, here to answer your query at the Microsoft Community.

You must create a profile from the Edge first and then move the data - this adds an entry in the Registry.

The contents can be pasted in the default folder if only one user profile exists.

    I hope the information helps.
