This problem is only an emerging problem and everyone on the forums are reporting it was caused by an Edge update that has now been pulled.
The best option is to open the Feedback Hub in Windows (Windows Key + F) and report this to their developers, the more people that report this, the sooner they will provide a fix for it.
Hey Dave, I can't even get into the Edge settings to do the next update, so how will that work?!
If you cannot get into Edge settings, then we need to wait for the Edge development team to put out a patch for this new bug in that update.
