Open and read PDFs in Windows 11

I'm reading about Windows 11 prior to installing it over version 10. To my dismay, I find no mention of how to create or edit PDFs. Is it no longer possible to use the Edge browser for PDFs? If so, what is the alternative?

Hi Grandpa! My name is David. I am a user of Microsoft products like you, and it is a pleasure to greet you.

I understand your questions about using PDF files in Windows 11 and Microsoft Edge. Regarding these, Windows 11 continues to use Microsoft Edge as the browser, and all its functions remain enabled. This includes reading PDF files, editing by adding text, highlighting, or drawing, and also creating such files through the print function.

Therefore, if you are considering upgrading to Windows 11, you can do so without worries as the browser's functions will remain the same.

Let me know if the shared information has been helpful. Regards.

Many thanks for that very useful information. I had read a post from someone who said that I'd have to install the Adobe PDF reader for "full functionality." I have had no issues with Edge, so "If it ain't broke..."

Since I'll have to go to Windows 11 eventually, I'll give it a try now.

    Regards, Grandpa
