Change Tenant Name

Hello,

I am kind of new to Azure and would like to know whether it is possible to change the name of my tenant. This used to be a evaluation one but I turned it into a pay-as-you-go one.

    Hi @Luis Olias · Thank you for reaching out.

    Unfortunately, you cannot rename Azure tenant. However, you can create a new tenant with desired name (if the name is available and not already taken by someone else) and then transfer your pay-as-you-go subscription to the new tenant.

    For this purpose, you need to add your user account as guest account to the new tenant and assign Global Administrator directory role and perform below steps:

    1. Go to Subscriptions.
    2. Select a subscription.
    3. Select Change directory.

    Finally!!! The best present for any thanksgiving on 2021.
    I was able to do a tenant rename directly thru the portal.
