I’ve installed a BlueSoleil application and now Bluetooth doesn’t work

I have finally found the solution for "Bluetooth cannot start, Hardware not found" error in laptops and other devices with mobility, especially after installing Bluesoleil versions greater than 5.X.

All you have to do is go to Device Manager (Control Panel -> Device Manager ..or.. Right click on My computer -> Properties -> Device Manager on the top left).

Click on Bluetooth Radio and go to the properties of the first entry, typically a wireless bluetooth module. In the properties dialogue box, select the tab of Power Management and uncheck the box for "Turn off device to save power".

Restart your computer and its done!

I have installed the latest Version of BlueSoleil 6.4.286.0 Latest Version. Once I installed it, I am unable to open Bluetooth Devices or Bluetooth Settings. I am unable to start the BlueSoleil also. When I turn on the BlueSoleil , it shows "Cannot start Bluetooth, Hardware not found". My laptop is a Lenovo G550 model with Broadcom bluetooth Built into it.

My questions are

1. Why I am unable to open Bluetooth Devices/Settings after installing Bluesoleil?
2. Is BlueSoleil compatible with Windows 7 32bit?
3. Will BlueSoleil work with built in Broadcom bluetooth adapte of Lenovo G550?
4. While turning on BlueSolei, why it shows " Cannot start Bluetooth, Hardware not found"

Also Kindly let me know some alternate software like BluePhoneElite(mirasoftware.com) for Mad, which will run on Windows 7. I need to use my computer microphone and speaker as a handsfree for my Sony Ericsson K75i?

a) Was bluethooth working fine prior to BlueSoleil 6.4.286.0?

Check if the device is getting detected in Devmgmt.msc

Check if the Bluetooth Button is switched on in the laptop

ans. Look for two things - your laptop's specs , and posts from manufacturer's website .

The specs will tell you if your model comes with bluethooth or not officially. The manufacturer reports (search 'your laptop name here review or bluetooth' or something) will tell you if it actually has it or not.

2. Is BlueSoleil compatible with Windows 7 32bit?

ans. BlueSoleil is compatible with Windows 7 32 bit however, its not the same with 64bit as they are still working on it.

Bluetooth was working fine before installing Bluesoleil. I was able to work with bluetooth devices before installing it.

My Lenovo G550 have Builtin Brocam Bluetooth BCM2046 (Bluetooth Version 2.1 + EDR).

For my first question " 1) Why I am unable to open Bluetooth Devices/Settings after installing Bluesoleil?", i found the issue was

When I turn on the Bluesoleil, it stops the "Bluetooth Support Service" this si the reason I was not able to open Bluetooth Devices/Settings. I made the services to start Automatically. But still when I turn on Bluesoleil, the services stopped.

I will check this with Bluesoleil support for this issue.

The reason behind using Bluesoliel is to " Use my computer as a Handsfree/Speaker for making calls on my mobile (Sony Ericsson K750i)."

Complelety uninstalled the Bluesoliel now

My Question:-

I paired my SE K750i mobile with my Windows 7 without any softwares like Bluesoliel.

When I opened my Mobile from Bluetooth Devices, it took me to the option to connect to the internet. There I found the option to "Use my computer as a Handsfree/Speaker for making calls on my mobile". When I connected my mobile in this option it gets connected and If I call someone from there I am able to use my computer as Speaker but it gets disconnected in few seconds.

Even after connecting using this option, even If I leave the mobile idle its getting disconnected. If I get solution for this I do not need any nother softwares.

Other than these if I use this mobile with other application in the same computer via Bluetooth, it does not get disconnected.

My mobile is Sony Ericsson K750i . I also have to know whether this mobile is compatible with this option in Windows 7.
