Wanted to purchase a netbook - it comes with Windows 7 Home Premium.  Found out that '7' doesn't have word processing.  So I would have to buy a program???

Is Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint compatible with Windows 7 Home Premium??

Windows has never come with Microsoft Office unless a Vendor has chosen to bundle it.

You will have to buy a copy of Office and the one that is now available is Office 2007. (You can still get Office 2003 in some places but it is now getting very rare. Do NOT buy from EBay).

Equally, if you don't want Outlook you can download and install the free Office suite Open Office.
