Force Feedback on Xbox 360 Racing Wheel using Wireless Gaming Reciever in Windows 7

I am trying to use my Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel in Windows 7 using the Wireless Gaming Receiver to connect it to my PC.

It connects fine and I can use the wheel in games, but I'm not getting any force feedback and I don't see it mentioned in the device configuration in the control panel.

This page: http://www.xbox.com/en-gb/hardware/x/xbox360wirelessgamingreceiver/ specifies that the wheel should have drivers available for Windows Vista in the future (I am guessing this page is well out of date) with force feedback but I can't find mention of these drivers anywhere.

Technically, this is a Windows 7 Driver Support question on when then Wireless Gaming Receiver drivers will be updated to provide force feedback support as was promised in the URL the previous poster provided.

I to would be interested in if this work is progressing.  If it has been cancelled you may wish to notify marketing and get them to update the page in question.

    Cheers.

so there is continued interest in having the force feedback function of the official xbox 360 wheel enable in windows via the "xbox wireless gaming receiver for windows"!!!!!

Surely this cannot be a drain on the resources of such a large company. ****, you could pay one guy a weekend or two overtime and probably have this in the bag.

The other alternative is to open the job up to third parties or trusted parnters.

    IT CANNOT BE THAT HARD!!!

Most people want to use the wheel for pc games that aren't part of the xbox ecosystem like Raceroom, or race 07 or similar. It won't lose the xbox ecosystem any business and will earn the respect of loyal consumers.

Are you using an adapter to get the G27 working? The only wheels I have seen that note that they have 360 capabilities as well as PC has been a couple on the Fanatec series.

Fanatec Forza Motorsport CSR Elite Wheel

    Fanatec Forza Motorsport CSR Wheel

    Fanatec Porsche 911 GT2 Wheel

It just makes no sense to me, the best racing sims are on PC, or Xbox 360, yet there is very little selection that is confirmed as compatible with both.

I don't know why you marked this as an answer.  My questions have not been answered!

    Can you tell us:

Are force feedback drivers being developed?

When are they likely to be developed?

Why hasn't this page http://www.xbox.com/en-gb/hardware/x/xbox360wirelessgamingreceiver/ been updated to let people know there's no driver yet (perhaps ever)?

I want to buy a racing wheel for my PC that has force feedback, but I don't want buy one until I know for sure that the one I currently own doesn't/wont work.

Please don't mark this thread as answered until you've heard back from the drivers team/racing wheel team/whoever develops the drivers for these things.
