HP DeskJet Printers - HPZSTATX.EXE Causes Print Job to Hang in Queue
ISSUE:
When a print job is sent to the printer, the job stays in the printer queue. The printer will fail to react and no error messages will appear. Besides, the system may lock up. This issue mainly affects the following HP DeskJet printers:
HP DeskJet 3820 printer
NOTE that as I read it you do not have to have another printer installed for this to happen with the printers in the table, only with the ones listed under the table so the remedy to try would seem to be to rename that file.
So try the instructions under XP if you then find that file.
BTW What version of WINDOWS VISTA are you using and what is the PC make and model?
