Only black and white.

I got this really weird problem. When Im using either Photoshop or Paint, and try to use any tool to add a color to an image, it only adds black or white. Depending on how bright or dark the color is, it will be a dark or light grey color when I use the paint bucket tool, for instance. Its strange, because the monitor has no problem displaying all kinds of colors, my screen isnt black and white. But when Im trying to add a color to a picture, its only white, grey or pitch black thats possible.

What is this? Only thing that has happened to the PC recently, is I used the LCD-TV as a monitor once, but now it doesn`t work anymore. Maybe something happened to the settings then. Please help me. I also just installed the Windows Vista service pack 2, if that gives anyone a clue.

    Hi, cos1ello:

With Microsoft Paint open, press Ctrl+E, set Black and White, click OK and then set back to Color.

No. Theres no problem displaying colors, it works perfectly fine. Its only when I`m trying to add colors. Never mind, I got it now. The picture is copyrighted or something. It only happens with that picture.

Do you experience the problem in other programs as well? If you open a photo in Windows Photo Gallery do you see weird colors?

Thanks for the reply. I tried, but nothing has changed. The problems still there. Actually, its highly unlikely theres anything with the programs, because I havent used Photoshop in a long time. It must have something to do with the settings on the PC itself.
