Whenever I try to make a phone call it says "emergency calls only" I don't know how to get it in online mode. Can anybody help me with step by step instructions?? I would really appreciate it
I have a nokia n95 8gb by the way.

You can get it back online by changing the profile to anything else other than Offline. To do this, briefly press the power button. This bring up a menu. Select another profile, say General.
There are also other reasons why your phone stays in Offline mode even when you do that. The most common of these would be a problem with your sim card.
I have the same problem too, I also have the same phone. I tried switching the profiles, but that didn't work. So my next guess is theres a problem with the sim card itself, so I'm on a mission to find another sim to use. Did you end up fixing your phone?

This means that you probably have no network coverage where you are. Either that or your phone has broken down and cannot pick up your operator's network signal.
Go somewhere else, perhaps somewhere higher up, and see if you have better reception. If not, it could well be a fault with the phone. You can test that theory by trying your SIM in another phone.

It says "offline" on the top of the screen
If you hold your finger on the volume up dial, a box comes up on the bottom of the screen saying "do you want to stay in offline mode" You press no and the phone then reboots itself into normal mode.
