have just Installed windows 7 on a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pi 1505 Laptop, and have noticed that there is no sound coming out of the speakers but there is sound coming out of the headphone jack. I have tried all of the things from this site
http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistamedia/thread/43cbd06d-d381-4e27-8048-69daf0efbd07 and still it does not work.
Click on start and later on control panel and then on sound, you would get a dialog box look under the “Playback” tab if the speakers are selected as default device.
First of all try uninstalling and reinstalling the sound adapter
Method 1: uninstalling the drivers from the Device manager
Method 2 : Uninstalling the drivers from programs and features
Method 3 : Install the latest version of the sound card driver from the manufacturer’s website.
Tips for fixing common sound problems :

Did you check Fujitsu's website for updated drivers?
i finally digured it out, after a year and a half. As i keep uninstalling, he keeps reinstalling, even after installing the realtek exe.
you have to uninstall the driver, the microsoft one, check in Device manager the properties on the driver, it will tell "Microsoft whatever" as the provider.
Update the dirver. Tell it to let you do manually, tell it then to let you select it from a list, and then un-check where it says "safe" or "signed" or something like this. Choose Realtek in the maker list, then select Realtek High Definition audio. click next.
it'll warn you that is unsafe or something like that. just ingnore and keep going.
after that and after reboot, check the device manager again, ans check the audio device properties. the driver maker should say "Realtek" instead of Microsoft.
If it does, it'll work fine with on laptop speakers. If it says microsoft, it won't.
Can't be the only way?! As mine works fine and I never had to do that! Quite probably another way so great news but hold back on the "only" as that is simply not true. The more ways the merrier though :)
i have the same problem too! latest driver in www.realtek.com doesn't work on win7. also fujitsu's site says that amilo pi 1505 doesn't support win7. is there any another way to get a sound? i dont want to install xp again.. but if it goes like this, i have to..
Hi volkanalb & Wolfie_the_one,
I did find that for some reason the zip one did not work at all, So I tried the Vista, Windows7 Driver(32/64 bits) Driver only (Executable file) and that one worked alright. So give that one ago and hopefully that will work for you as well.
